Helena Gorroño new ICA YC Vice President for Europe

We are pleased to welcome a new Vice President to the ICA YC Executive Committee, Helena Gorroño from Spain. In June 2025, she was elected by the Young European Cooperators Network (YECN) to represent them in ICA's structures.

Helena has spent the past decade taking action towards what she considers a fairer, safer, and more equal society from a 'glocal' perspective. She is a member of a workers cooperative where she leads projects in regional economic development and impact-driven education. Further than work, she views activism as a transversal part of life - she actively seeks learning opportunities in areas where she can contribute and regularly participate in open civic processes where citizen decision-making is key.
